Kevin Pearce

Alana Nichols
Alana is an American Paralympic wheelchair basketball player and alpine skier. While growing up in Farmington in northern New Mexico, Nichols would spend winters snowboarding in Colorado. During one such snowboarding trip in 2000, she attempted a back flip but over-rotated and landed back-first on a rock.
She has defied odds and proven to be an incredible advocate for adaptive athletes as the first American woman with gold medals in both Summer and Winter Games for basketball and alpine skiing.

Chris Waddell
Chris Waddell is an American Paralympic sit-skier and wheelchair track athlete. After being paralyzed during a ski accident in college, Chris felt like he had a second chance. He was determined to adapt and not let his injury get the best of him.
He is a Dalai Lama’s Unsung Hero of Compassion and Winner of Thirteen Paralympic Medals World Champion in both winter and summer sports.

Victoria Arlen
Victoria Arlen is an ESPN personality and American Paralympian winning gold and silver medals in swimming. She lost the use of her legs at the age of 11 due to two rare viral diseases called Transverse Myelitis and Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis, which also left her in a coma for nearly four years. After being paralyzed from the waist down, Victoria learned to eat, speak, and move again. She has learned to walk again. Sally Francklyn
Born and raised in Colorado, Sally started skiing at the age of three. At age 15, she joined Copper Mountain Junior Ski Patrol. After college, Sally was working in Jackson Hole when she was injured in a backcountry ski accident.
After 4 months in the hospital, she had to learn how to walk, talk, and eat again. Now, she understands that things have changed and is learning to love her new reality.

Steven Millward
Steven is a hard-working fifth-generation Jackson, Wyoming resident. 20 years ago, Steven tragically broke his neck falling off a rodeo horse. Through his Western heritage, he stays goal-oriented and focused on the changing world around him.
Steven is currently working towards a Law degree through the University of Wyoming.

Roy Tuscany
Founder, High Fives Foundation
Originally from Waterbury, VT, and after graduating from the University of Vermont with a degree in mechanical engineering, he headed out west to pursue the dream of being a professional free-skier. In 2006, Roy suffered a life-altering T-12 burst fracture at Mammoth Mountain going “too fast, too far” that left him paralyzed from the waist down and was the catalyst to the creation of high fives. Roy turned the financial and community support of his own recovery into a ‘pay-it-forward’ adventure with the creation of High Fives Non-Profit Foundation. In the past 10 years, Roy has relearned how to walk, how to ski, how to surf, and how to inspire others.

Jamie Crane-Mauzy
Known as Mocrazy, Jamie is a retired slopestyle and halfpipe skier. Jamie fell attempting a double flat in her second run of World Tour finals in Whistler, Canada. She underrotated and landed in a pike position on the front of her skies, then launched on to the right side of her body and was knocked unconscious. Jamie was life-flighted to a Whistler clinic and eventually to Vancouver General Hospital where her family found that she suffered a traumatic brain injury. Along with her family including sister Jeanee, Jamie is a brain injury awareness advocate strengthening families after a life-changing accident.

Chris Nowinski
Chris has first-hand experience surrounding the impact and growing concern for concussions in sports and the research surrounding CTE. As a former football player and WWE wrestler, he experienced these traumas personally. Chris is a co-founder and CEO of the Concussion Legacy Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to solving the sports concussion crisis through education, policy, and research. He is also the author of the book turned movie Head Games which sheds light on this serious public health issue. Chris, a former football player, WWE wrestler, and concussion survivor shares his passion for research on the need for advanced brain trauma research. Quinn Brett
Alpine Climber Quinn Brett sought to travel and climb mountains throughout the world, reveling in the freedom of movement but also advocating for the safekeeping of these special places. She worked as a climbing ranger at Rocky Mountain National Park, technical rescuer, and first responder. This intimate work within public lands also opened opportunities to spread a need for stewardship within the recreational community. In October 2017 she took what was deemed “an unsurvivable fall” in Yosemite, she is currently paralyzed below the navel. Her drive to cover long distances over technically complex terrain continues so does her advocacy, accessibility desires, and love for these wild spaces.
